About Forte Montecchio Nord

Forte Montecchio Nord is at Via alle Torri 8, Colico. Built in a few months between 1912 and 1914, it was one of the great forts of the Frontiera Nord facing Switzerland, placed where five Alpine routes towards Milan converge; in its own words, Europe’s best-preserved First World War fortress. Visits by season: see the official site for times.

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Forte Montecchio Nord before you go.
