Bellagio stands on the point of the peninsula where the lake divides into its two southern arms. Its stepped lanes climb from the waterfront, the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni holds the tip, and the gardens of Villa Melzi run south along the shore; above, the road climbs to the Ghisallo pass and its cycling museum.
