Lecco stands where the Adda leaves the south-eastern arm of the lake, under the mountains. It is the city of Alessandro Manzoni’s I Promessi Sposi: the Villa Manzoni is now the Museo Manzoniano, one of the civic museums of SiMUL. North along the shore, Mandello del Lario and Valmadrera have restaurants in the MICHELIN Guide.
Sights
The Villa Manzoni, the Palazzo delle Paure, the Torre Viscontea and the Parco Monte Barro.

Eating
Nicolin, Lisander, Villa Giulia – Al Terrazzo, Il Giardinetto, Amandus and Bianca sul Lago, in the MICHELIN Guide.
Combine the Villa Manzoni with the Palazzo delle Paure on the lakefront.
Staying
Casa sull’Albero at Malgrate and Bianca Relais at Oggiono.
Our advice: take the train from Milano Centrale to Lecco, then the boat to Bellagio.
