The Castello di Vezio, at Via al Castello, Perledo, stands on the promontory above Varenna. Visitors see the furnished tower, the underground passages, a botanical garden and a display on the Lariosaurus. It is open every day from 1 March to 1 December, and at weekends and holidays in winter, weather permitting. Its falconry displays ended for good after vandalism in October 2022.
